Government Engineering college, Thiruvananthapuram was established in 1999 in the picturesque Barton Hill located right in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram city. The college offers B.Tech degree courses in Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering and is affiliated to University of Kerala.

The college, now in the tenth academic year, since its inception, has already established itself as one of the leading Engineering Colleges in Kerala. It is one of the most preferred choices for students selected through the Common Entrance Examination conducted by the Government of Kerala.
